Generally, this page is supposed to be about me. But let’s talk about YOU for a minute.
Since you’re here right now, something tells me that you’re a hardworking hustler in pursuit of inspiration, super duper health and balance. Perhaps you have all the knowledge but are lacking the tools, or vice versa. Or you have an idea of your health goals but those around you just don’t get it and aren’t supportive. Or maybe you’re just wanting a li’l encouragement and motivation. Whatever your reason and no matter where you are in your health journey, you want a little (or a lot) more.
You want to be in control of your health, fitness and wellness goals
You want to take all that determination and grit that you have and channel into something that is beneficial to you and others
You want to set the best example for your family and friends
You want to find out the reasons why you might be stuck right now and how to lift yourself into being next level awesome
You believe you are doing all the right things but are not seeing the changes you’d like
All those goal? All those struggles? I’ve most definitely been there.
Here’s the thing. Everyone has the power to become great, to be better than they were yesterday and to break down walls and become the best version of themselves. But these things take work. If it were easy, then everyone would do it right? Not you my friend. You’re here because you know what it takes to hustle and I’m here to help you become that best version of yourself.
Well, I’m a Mommy to a wee guy named Henry, married to an amazing guy named Mark, and am the most passionate and excitable person you’ll ever meet when it comes to fitness and nutrition.
My journey began back in 2003 when I realized that I was the chubby girl among my circle of friends. I was an early bloomer, following the lead of my two older brothers who ate whatever the hell they wanted without gaining an ounce. As I got older, I began to realize that my body was really quite different from my family’s and peers.
I stepped on the scale one day for probably the first time in my life and my eyes literally bulged out of my head. I started on what would become a very lonely journey that day; one that led to an unhealthy obsession of diet pills, bulimia, anorexia, and so much self hatred.
It took years of educating myself, seeking the help of mentors, and finding support and comfort in a wholesome relationship to finally achieve happiness in my own skin.
My journey will never be over, nor do I want it to be. I crave to know everything I can about living a healthy and balanced life and will never stop learning.
So, I started this blog, not only as a creative outlet for myself, but as a community builder. I want to share my journey with you and all the things I have learned and help you become happy and way more than just comfortable in your own skin. I’m going to help you feel like the best damn version of yourself, every ducking day.
I am literally obsessed with fitness and nutrition and have tried every diet, every exercise program, and every get-skinny-life-hack out there. Let’s chat about what works (and what most definitely doesn’t), how changes take time, and how balance is achieved with your mind, not just your body.
