As many of you know, I’m a green smoothie monster. Henry and I will have one for breakfast at least 3 or 4 times a week! It’s so perfect if you’re having a busy morning and want something energizing but not heavy.
I used to think that breakfast smoothies had to include some sort of protein powder (which are mostly soy, whey, and sucralose laden) all of which I can’t have. So for the longest time, I stayed away from smoothies or would have sugary fruit-based smoothies as snacks here and there. Then I had a baby, and my mornings got busier and busier. I had to come up with a quick and easy solution for a nutritious breakfast and that’s where this insanely delicious and energizing smoothie comes into the picture.
