I’ve been singing the praises of barre for years now and thought it was time I talked to the pros about it. I’ve teamed up with the ladies at Barre Body Studio to talk about the benefits of a barre workout during pregnancy.
All I want to do during this pregnancy is streeeeeeettttttch. As soon as I wake up, when I’m walking around, when I’m cooking, seriously all day everyday… stretching is what my body craves more than chocolate! Well, kinda 😉 Our bodies are growing to make room for that little baby, which means that things are bound to shift around. A lot of pregnant women wake up feeling stiff or sore because of this, and stretching is the best way to alleviate that discomfort. Stretching is also going to help you in labour by keeping your muscles flexible and strong! Well, the cat’s out of the bag… If you follow me on Insta, you’ll know that I’m expecting baby number 2 in January 2018! I’m a firm believer in keeping up with physical activity while pregnant. So today we’re talking about running and I’ll be sharing 7 tips to keep you safe and in shape while expecting. As you know, the Servus Edmonton Marathon is coming up next month on August 20th and I’m currently training for the 10km run. Part of me wishes I signed up for the half marathon, just so I could add it to my list, but I’m finding that shorter runs are better suited for me right now.

And now it’s official – my husband and I just bought our very first home together! It’s been such a crazy time dealing with mortgage approvals, realtors and lawyers. But now it’s about to get real because we take possession TODAY! I know… what am I doing writing a blog post right now? 😉
