Is there a difference between a Vegan and Plant-Based diet? Many people think they’re the same, but they’re not. So WTF is the difference? They both avoid animal products, but there is quite a distinction between the two subsets of people, including the foods they eat, lifestyle choices, and motivating beliefs. I’ve broken it down for you right here:
For those of you that know me, you know I can’t go a day without lemons. My house is always fully stocked with the bright yellow fruit and I use them every single day. Hence the name Lemons for Days 😉 There’s seriously nothing as good! They’re so powerful for such an itty thing, underrated & humble, chock full of beautifying nutrients, and not to mention, aesthetically pleasing.
I drink warm lemon water every single morning and I need to tell you why you should too! For such a simple drink, the benefits of drinking lemon are plentiful. Here are just some of my faves…

The cheapest detox ever
Boosts your metabolism (i.e. you lose weight)

Happy 1 month anniversary to me! It’s been a whole month of eating vegan (aside from my inadvertent slip up) and I’m loving it! I still haven’t made the ultimate decision as to whether this will be my lifestyle forever and I’m hoping that my decision will just happen organically #commitmentphobe
The response I’ve received from you guys over this vegan-themed month has been overwhelmingly awesome and a few have you have even started a vegan or plant-based diet yourselves! If you’re thinking of making the switch or are just curious to try out a few recipes here and there, I’ve made a little starter pack for you.
When I made the switch, I found grocery shopping to be difficult. I mean, no eggs and no meat? What do I eat!? After experimenting and researching, here’s what I found works best. This list is a great reference guide as to what foods you can eat as a vegan and is a great weekly grocery list too.
Well it’s been two full weeks of no meat, no eggs, and no animal byproducts. I won’t be going into the nuances of nutrition and all that today. Rather, I’ll be focusing on the battle between meat eaters and vegans. Dun dun dunnnn. Don’t worry, we’ll end on a lighter, sweeter note with some gluten free vegan date cookies
Before I made the switch, I viewed vegans as misinformed, malnourished hippies just wanting to be ‘different’. After doing my research and living the vegan lifestyle for a few weeks now, I realize that I was the one who was gravely misinformed. But the question is… why did I view the vegan community in such a negative light?
Am I still considered a virgin? I mean, it’s been a full week, so I’d say my figurative vegan cherry has been popped. That’s right – I’ve made it one whole week as a vegan! I have to be honest, I didn’t know if I could last this long but I’ve been receiving so much positive feedback and love from you guys that it’s actually been pretty easy!
How I feel after one week of being a Vegan
I know it hasn’t been very long, but I’m already feeling different. Here’s what I’m loving:Read on
